한경우 작가(1979)는 서울대학교 조소과를 졸업한 후 시카고 아트 인스티튜트에서 뉴미디어 석사를 받았습니다. 미국에서 작업 활동을 시작한 작가는 Yaddo, LMCC, Skowhegan등의 레지던시 프로그램에 참여했습니다. 인간의 관점의 불완전함을 시각화 시키는 한경우의 작품은 설치, 영상, 사진, 조각 등 다양한 매체를 통해 표현됩니다. 작가는 2011년 귀국한 후 대안공간 루프에서 국내 첫 개인전을 가졌고, 제11회 송은미술대상 대상을 받았습니다. 이후2012 삼성 리움 미술관 아트스펙트럼전과 2014 부산 비엔날레에 참여 후 다수의 국내외 미술관 기획전에 참여했으며, 2018 평창 동계 올림픽 시상대를 디자인 하였습니다. 작가는 현재 서울과학기술대학교 조형예술학과 교수로 재직중입니다.

Kyung Woo Han was born in Seoul Korea. He has a MFA in Film, Video and New Media at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and has a BFA in Sculpture at Seoul National University. He began his Artist career in the US and participated at Yaddo, LMCC, Skowhegan residency programs. His work deals with the imperfection of human perspective using various materials such as sculpture, installation, photography and video. He had his first solo show at Alternative space Loop, and won a grand prize at 11th Songeun Art Award in 2011. He has shown his work at numerous museums and galleries such as Art Spectrum Samsung Leeum Museum, 2014 Busan Biennale, National Museum of Contemporary Art Korea. In 2018 he designed the podium for Pyeongchang Olympics. He is a professor at Fine Art Department, Seoul National University of Science and Technology.
